Do you know someone who is lonely or isolated and would like to attend an activity ? or even looking to volunteer in various opportunities within the community, then get in contact with Sara or Karen at Clegwell & Hartleyburn CIO who can help to support this opportunity.
Sara & Karen are available Monday & Tuesday 9am – 3pm at Clegwell & Hartleyburn (CIO), Mountbatten Avenue. Hebburn. NE31 2QP or why not call over for a cuppa and a chat to discuss on a Tuesday 11am – 12pm otherwise you may bump into them in the community.

The project aims to provide opportunities for all people of ages to engage in volunteering opportunities or access various groups on offer to help and reduce isolation within the community. A team of Engagement Workers will identify suitable activities for individuals and support them with accessing those activities at the Community Hub.
Know Your Neighbourhood Fund Aims
The project will contribute towards achieving the outcomes of the Know Your Neighbourhood Fund:
- People are supported to access opportunities to connect with others.
- People are supported to participate in enriching volunteering opportunities.
- Reduction in isolation and increase in wellbeing.
- Increase in accessibility of volunteering.
- Local areas are left with improved systems and processes to maintain action on volunteering and tackling loneliness.
- Strengthening the evidence base on what works and why; and
- Enriching lives by connecting communities and improving accessibility of volunteering in levelling up areas.
