In June of last year we were honoured to be bestowed with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, The Trustees would like to cordially invite our volunteers of both Clegwell & Hartleyburn (CIO) and Hebburn Carr-Ellison Carnival Committee on the morning of the 28th March 2023 at Clegwell Hub, Mountbatten Avenue. Hebburn. NE31 2QP from 10.45am to share this wonderful experience with all of our dedicated volunteers.
The award will be presented to Clegwell & Hartleyburn (CIO) and Hebburn Carr-Ellison Carnival Committee by Lucy Winskell, the Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear, in the presence of the Mayor Pat Hay and Mayoress Jean Copp.
The award is very special to start with, but to know this award will be the last Queen’s Award received is an honour, the award is equivalent to an MBE and the highest award that can be bestowed to local voluntary groups in the UK.
Light refreshments will follow from the presentation.
